Submission of Annual Statement

Submission of Annual Statement in Form II is mandatory under the Press and Registration of Books Act, 1867 and Registration of Newspaper Central Rules 1956, for each registered publications (newspapers/periodicals) on or before 31st May of every Year. Non submission of Annual Statement may not only attract fine under the PRB Act, 1867 but will also lead to publication not being included by DAVP in its panel for granting advertisements.

Steps for e-filing

1. Register your publication for efiling of Annual Statement at Using 'New Registration' option above.
2. Take a print out of the proforma for C.A. certificate form by Clicking here. Cases where CA Certificate is not applicable, take out the print of Publisher's Declaration by Clicking here.
3. Please fill the downloaded form duly signed by publisher and C.A.
4. Login into e-filing application of annual statement.
5. Please upload the C.A Certificate/ Publisher Declaration form .
6. Fill form “Form II” and “Annexure” (in case of daily publications) by using Registration Number of the publication and Password.
7. Take the print out of e-filed Annual Statement and keep it as a receipt for any future reference.

Need of e-filing

e-filing will facilitate Registered Publishers to file their Annual Statement (Form-II) and Daily Press (Annexure) on-line through RNI e-filing website. E-filing is easy, swift, secure and provides accuracy. If any information regarding registration details is not updated, please contact an RNI officer.
